EN Engineering Acquires Total Control Solutions

(Warrenville, IL) EN Engineering, a leading utility engineering, consulting, and compliance services firm, announces the acquisition of Caldwell, Ohio-based Total Control Solutions. The acquisition was effective November 18, 2015. Total Control Solutions provides automation solutions and engineering services to natural gas customers.

“They are a great fit with the services offered by our Automation Services Group,” said Tom Ziegenfuss, President of EN Engineering. “Geographically, Total Control Solutions is well-positioned to serve customers in the Marcellus and Utica shale regions. In addition, the management team and employees at Total Control Solutions have built a fantastic rapport with their customers, reflecting EN Engineering’s commitment in providing outstanding customer service.” There are no plans to change the management team or personnel at Total Control Solutions. In fact, the Automation and Mechanical and Electrical design team is expected to expand. They will remain in their current office, in southeastern Ohio, marking the 15th location for EN Engineering offices in the United States.

Total Control Solutions was founded in 2004 by four partners, including Alan McPeek, President; Chris Brown, Vice President; Bob Kuntzman, Project Manager; and Dale Huntsman, Project Manager. “This acquisition gives our existing customers access to a broader offering of engineering design expertise through EN Engineering’s portfolio of services. It also provides us with the opportunity to grow our overall business,” explains McPeek.

In July 2015, General Atlantic, a leading global growth equity firm, became the majority investor in EN Engineering. The acquisition of Total Control Solutions is EN Engineering’s first acquisition since welcoming General Atlantic as an investor.
