Cookie Policy – Personal Information We Collect By Automated Means
We collect certain information by automated means when you visit the Website, such as how many users visit the Website and other related analytics. We collect this information to learn how to improve the Website and how to best tailor it to our visitors. When you visit the Website, we may automatically collect some information about your visit using cookies, log analytics software, and other aggregate tracking technologies. Cookies are bits of text that are placed on your computer’s hard drive when you visit certain website. We may use cookies to tell us, for example, whether you have visited us before. If you wish, you may decline cookies or set your browser to refuse cookies. Most browsers will tell you how to stop accepting new cookies, how to be notified when you receive a new cookie, and how to disable existing cookies.
- First-party cookies: On our Website we use certain ENTRUST cookies. Refusal of these cookies may result in your inability to access some pages or use some of the features and functions of the Website. If you accept but then decline cookies, please note that some Entrust’s cookies will remain on your computer’s hard drives unless and until you manually delete the cookie file. However please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this Website. ENTRUST’s cookie files generally do not contain personal information or track your movement outside of our site.
- Analytics: This Website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies to help ENTRUST analyze how users use the Website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the Website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the Website, compiling reports on Website activity, and providing other services relating to Website activity and internet usage for us. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.
- Marketing & sales analytics: This Website uses WebSights, a web analytics service provided by ZoomInfo which identifies what companies visitors to the Website work at. To do so, WebSights gathers IP address and email domain information (e.g., @zoominfo.com) from visitors of this Website and displays the information for ENTRUST’s team within the WebSights dashboard in the platform. WebSights also uses cookies in order to track unique site visits. The IP addresses WebSights gathers are solely known company IP addresses and are associated only at a company level. The information displayed within the WebSights dashboard only shows what companies have visited the Website and does not display any information about the specific individual visiting the site. Information collected through the use of the WebSights tool is used to ensure proper function of the ZoomInfo product.
- Social media:We may use social media sharing and other “widgets” to enable interaction with social networks, such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Some of these social networks may be able to track your visit to the Website (or any site that uses the widgets) because when you visit a social network, it may place personally identifiable cookies in your browser that are then transmitted back to the social network when you visit other sites that use that network’s widgets, even if you do not click on or interact with the widget. If you have questions about a particular social network’s information collection or cookie practices, please refer to the privacy and use policies of that social network.
- Functionality: These cookies allow the Website to remember choices you make (such as your user name, language, or the region you are in) and provide enhanced features. For instance, the Website may be able to remember your login details, so that you do not have to repeatedly sign in to your account when using a particular device to access the Website. These cookies can also be used to remember changes you have made to text size, font, and other parts of web pages that you can customize. They may also be used to provide services you have requested such as viewing a video or commenting on an article. The information these cookies collect is usually anonymized. They do not gather any information about you that could be used for advertising or remember where you have been on the internet.
In some of our email messages we use a “click-through URL” linked to content on our web site. When customers click one of these URLs, they pass through our web server before arriving at the destination web page. We track this click-through data to help us determine interest in particular topics and measure the effectiveness of our customer communications. If you prefer not to be tracked simply avoid clicking text or graphic links in the email.
In addition we use pixel tags—tiny graphic images—to tell us what parts of our web site customers have visited or to measure the effectiveness of searches customers perform on our site. Pixel tags also enable us to send email messages in a format customers can read. And they tell us whether emails have been opened to ensure that we’re sending only messages that are of interest to our customers. We may use this information to reduce or eliminate messages sent to a customer. We store all of this information in a secure database located in the United States.
Some of the major browsers have attempted to implement the draft “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) standard of the World Wide Web Consortium (“W3C”) in their latest releases. As this standard has not been finalized, ENTRUST’s Website is not compatible with DNT and so, does not recognize DNT settings.
Additionally, when you browse our website your IP address (the internet address of your computer) is recorded so that we may know how you are using our website. Your browser may also automatically provide us with information regarding your computer and operating system. This information is used by ENTRUST to monitor and improve our website. This information is not linked back to you as an individual user.

ENTRUST uses this information to better understand your needs and provide you with better service. Specifically, we use your information to communicate back to you, to update you on services and benefits, and to personalize our website for you. From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research or to provide you with information about other ENTRUST services that we think would be of particular interest to you. We will always give you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving such direct marketing or market research communications. You may exercise this right to opt-out at any time.
