An overview of the Prepare toolset
The Prepare toolset contains the tools that allows you to create hypothetical release locations (OSPointM point features), calculate drain down volume on the release locations, and create the necessary tables for storing and processing input and output data throughout the Liquids HCA workflow.
| Tool | Description |
| Calculate Draindown | Calculates product drain down volumes for your release points. |
| Create Release Points | Creates hypothetical release locations at a distance interval that you specify along the pipeline centerline route features on which you are performing release modeling. |
| Enter Global Input Data | Populates the global inputs table in the project geodatabase for a single pipeline with the necessary pipeline operating conditions, product properties, ambient conditions, and spatial constraints data needed to support the liquids HCA analysis workflows. |
| Import Global Input Data | Imports global inputs data for multiple pipelines into the global inputs table in the project geodatabase, populating the table with the necessary pipeline operating conditions, product properties, ambient conditions, and spatial constraints data needed to support the liquids HCA analysis workflows. |
| Import High Consequence Areas | Imports HCA features into the Liquids HCA project geodatabase. |
| Initialize Database | Creates a Liquids HCA Tool project file geodatabase, and imports pipeline centerline route features into the project geodatabase. |
