A Material Test Report (MTR) certifies a material’s chemical and mechanical
properties. This document provides the certification associated with the
metallurgical and manufacturing requirements of pipeline components. MTRs
are critical for the energy industry by providing a Traceable, Verifiable,
and Complete (TVC) record of the material. TVC is a process required by
PHMSA code for gas and liquid transmission pipelines to validate records of
all components in a pipeline. EN’s Corrosion & Materials group has a team
led by our Chief Metallurgist to perform these critical reviews accurately,
quickly, and cost effectively. Our process relieves the administrative
burden on our clients and ensure compliance with PHMSA, industry, and client
specific requirements.
